Although I am sad to see the sun leave Seattle, there is always something exciting about a new season and a change in the surroundings. It breaks up the monotony a bit and invites new routines, rhythms, and feelings. Fall makes me feel cozy and inspired and this tea embodies Fall for me. It is the Cedarwood Chai by Flying Bird Botanicals, who uses only organic and fair trade ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, allspice and cloves which warm you inside and gently wake you up with Himalayan black tea leaves.
The label design is also beautiful with an adorable tree illustration on the front and every other inch being well thought out. Even the tea tin was carefully chosen as it is made in the USA out of recycled steel. It comes with a seal inside to keep the tea fresh and you can either re-use the tin or pull the seal out at the end and recycle the rest.
Ever tea-maker should use these tea bags. They are great! For one, they are beautiful pyramidical shapes that gives the tea some room to breathe and steep like loose-leaf tea. For two, they are entirely compostable and can just be scooped out and put directly in the compost bin.
Flying Bird Botanicals does such a great job thinking about every aspect of their product and how they can take better care of the world! I also recommend trying their White Lemon Ginger, Vanilla Rose Ceylon, and Twilight Mint teas.
